In October a permit expired allowing the City of Cape Coral to issue the construction of seawall permits on behalf of the Army Corp of Engineers. The controversy comes from new laws protecting the endangered smalltooth sawfish. There has been speculation about the timeframe it would take the Army Corp to process and approve seawalls through their department….
