Lots of new road work has been approved and considered in Cape Coral FL.  Burnt Store Road has plans to start its widening and now it looks like the two mile area on  Pine Island Road between Chiquita and Burnt Store Road is on its way.  It’s been a long couple of years that construction and growth has been put on hold but it shows that things are turning around for Cape Coral.  Time to start growing again…..

One of the great pleasures of living in SW Florida is the opportunity to grow exotic fruit.  In my garden I grow figs, mango, pineapple, avocado, and of course the gorgeous banana.

A good friend gave me a few shoots of her Lady Finger banana tree about a year ago and one has produced a heart…..now I just wait for the bananas.
